Sharing a Vision

The Battlefords Regional Community Coalition (BRCC) is a partnership of Indigenous and municipal governments working together for the good of our communities and our region. We are building bridges towards respectful and co-operative government-to-government relationships; providing continuity during times of change; and working to improve and change systems that do not work.

Together, we want to nurture the health, growth, and well-being of the people who call this region home.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We take on projects that will benefit our communities and region. Since 2019, this has included:

Holding anti-racism workshops for regional leaders

Developing a regional emergency management strategy
Coordinating pandemic resources and support with First Nation, municipal, provincial, and federal service agencies
Advocating on regional opportunities and challenges
Addressing jurisdictional issues, including coordination of health calls with partners, Saskatchewan Health, and Indigenous Services Canada

OUR LATEST PROJECT

THE SHARING A VISION PROJECT: HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, AND RECREATION

The Sharing a Vision project, which was set up to understand the current state of healthcare, education, and recreation service delivery in the Battlefords region and to overcome systemic racism in these areas is nearing completion. More than 60,000 people live, work, go to school, and play in this region; this project is focused on sharing information and gathering residents’ feedback on these important topics.
